The common charter of GAFSP Private Sector Window establishes the basic rules that govern implementation of the program. As the implementing entity and Private Sector Window Secretariat, IFC was delegated authority from contributors to deploy investments and advisory services according to its relevant guidelines and policies. In addition to the Secretariat, there are three main governing bodies for this window.

Donor Committee

Provides strategic guidance to GAFSP Private Sector Window for deployment of GAFSP funds

Approves formation of the Consultative Board

Approves Annual Plan presented by IFC as Secretariat for the Private Sector Window

Comprised of contributors that supported with at least US$ 20 million
GAFSP Steering Committee

Endorses Annual plan presented by IFC as GAFSP Private Sector Window Secretariat

Review and comment on Annual Progress Reports presented by IFC as GAFSP Secretariat

Approves and provides comments on the formation of the Consultative Board
Consultative Board

Provides technical advice and comments to Donors Committee to: (i) increase development impact; (ii) foster innovation; and (iii) further partnerships

Arranged periodically by the GAFSP Private Sector Window Secretariat with the approval of GAFSP Donor and Steering Committees

Comprised of representatives from the academia, civil society organizations, private financial institutions, and development agencies with experience in the agribusiness sector, up to five members

It will be active for the first three years once there are two contributors to GAFSP Private Sector Window

It is subject to annual reviews by the Donor Committee

Its recommendations and communications are non-binding
