Technical Advisory Committee

An independent Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has been appointed by the GAFSP Steering Committee to provide the due diligence screening of submitted proposals as input for decisions to be made by the Steering Committee.  The TAC is comprised of members with a high level of experience and technical expertise in agriculture and food security issues and, for Africa, who have familiarity with the CAADP processes.   The TAC's role is to provide recommendations to the Steering Committee on a set of indicative allocations of financial support through a technical review of the submitted proposals.

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

A full TAC was appointed by the Steering Committee for the Public Sector Calls for Proposals. It is comprised of up to 12 technical experts from both low- and high- income countries. The membership of the TAC is diverse, reflecting expertise from various geographical regions, as well as sub-sectoral skills.  The Steering Committee approved the Terms of Reference (job description) for the TAC for the Second Call for Proposals.

Interim Technical Advisory Committee (iTAC)

Given that there was not enough time to establish the TAC in time for the June 2010 submissions, the Steering Committee endorsed the formation of an interim Technical Advisory Committee (iTAC) of persons nominated by donors, recipients, and NGOs independent of potential Supervising Entities to provide due diligence for the June 2010 submissions only.
