Support to Agricultural Productivity and Production and Other Value Addition ($20 million, through PADAT program):
GAFSP financing will support agricultural productivity growth by financing the supply of inputs to vulnerable households to support recovery of agricultural production, providing support for the acquisition and production of certified seed, construction of small-scale infrastructure, training of producer groups and their umbrella structures, and capacity building. It will also focus on three target crops (rice, maize, and cassava) and aim to reduce post-harvest losses and improve quality of consumer products, improve labor productivity by supporting the acquisition of processing equipment, promote value addition through processing, enhance market access and promote market opportunities for the selected crops for the projects’ target population, and construct appropriate rural infrastructure.

Adoption of High Yielding Technologies ($19 million, through PASA program):
GAFSP financing will finance increased levels of production for three strategic food crops (rice, maize, and cassava) and three traditional export crops (cotton, coffee and cocoa), support freshwater fish farming by facilitating access to production technologies, training, critical inputs, land security and financial resources from local banks, and support capacity building of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries (MAEP).
