$31.1 million for the Agricultural Productivity and Market Enhancement Project to improve food production, develop value chains, and build capacity in districts with the highest levels of poverty and food insecurity.

GAFSP supports the government’s National Agriculture Investment Plan (NAIP), which works to increase agricultural productivity, improve access to markets, and facilitate participation from public sector, private sector, farmer organizations, and individual farmers. The project aims to: increase agricultural production by 30% among the smallholder farmers; increase market engagement to 50% of production among smallholder farmers; and reduce chronic malnutrition in 10 target districts from 45% to 30% in children under 5 years of age.
