About the Project
The additional funding is expected to build on the parent project by accelerating on the gains and respond to the adverse impact of the crises on food systems in the Gambia. The rationale is to expand on the Home Grown School Feeding (HGSF) and strengthen food systems through the provision of critical production inputs (fertilizers, climate smart seeds) and services (agro-processing, post-harvest handling, promoting the production and consumption of biofortified food crops (Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato), supporting smallholder household poultry production and improving watering facilities in 20 additional vegetable schemes.
