Improving Food Security and Nutrition for a More Resilient Food System

About the Project

The project's objective is to improve food security and nutrition in Batken, Kyrgyzstan, by strengthening the capacities and scaling up activities of the Mol Tushum Cooperative, a farmers’ cooperative. Through this project, smallholder farmers, including women, are expected to increase their productivity and income, improve their capacities for sustainable water and land resource management, strengthen the farmer-market linkages, and reduce risks and vulnerabilities, which helps to build a more resilient food system in the face of the shocks, such as global food crisis, climate change and violent conflicts.
