About the Project
The project aims to strengthen coffee productivity, market access, and producer organization capacity by transforming KNCFCSL into a scalable, inclusive, digitally integrated, and climate-resilient cooperative. It will benefit 1,500 current and prospective members, including more than 40% women and 40% youth, while promoting decent employment and reducing child labor.
The project will improve coffee productivity and quality through climate-smart farming practices, improved inputs, and enhanced post-harvest handling. It will expand market access, support certification, and create economic opportunities for women and youth, while promoting household nutrition through home gardening initiatives. The project will also strengthen governance, digital systems, and financial inclusion to support sustainable participation in the coffee value chain. Using a Farmer Field School approach, it will build a competitive, climate-smart cooperative that improves farmer incomes, food security, and rural employment opportunities.
