Resilient Productivity of the Cocoa Value Chain

About the Project

This project aims to increase the incomes, food security, and climate resilience of small-scale cocoa producers by strengthening member cooperatives, promoting productive agroforestry systems, improving cocoa quality, and expanding access to high-value markets.

The project will strengthen the governance, financial management, and organizational capacity of FECCANO and its member cooperatives, while implementing a gender and youth action plan to increase participation in decision-making. It will improve the productivity and resilience of cocoa agroforestry systems by training 2,000 producers in sustainable production practices, supporting the regeneration of 500 hectares of aging cocoa plantations, and strengthening Farmer Field Schools. The project will also enhance the quality, traceability, and market value of Haitian cocoa through investments in post-harvest infrastructure, digital tools, certification, and market development.
