About the Project
The project will increase food insecurity preparedness and improve the resilience of the food systems in Togo. It will provide a response to food insecurity arising from the current crisis, and lay the foundations for addressing the country's medium- and long-term priorities. The project will facilitate producers' access to agricultural inputs and equipment, providing easy access to quality seeds and fertilizers that are well adapted to local farming systems, soil and climatic conditions. It will also provide producers with kits for for breeding short-cycle animals. The PRSA will also support agricultural production systems for food and nutrition security by strengthening the resilience of vulnerable groups through the adoption of best practices in sustainable land and water management in production. This project also aims to reduce post-harvest losses of agricultural products and to recover crop waste through improved technologies.
